SiteFoundry guide
Do You Need a Website If You Already Have Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp?
Social media and WhatsApp are useful sales channels. A website does not need to replace them. Its job is different: give customers one stable place to understand your business, verify the details and decide what to do next.
Keep social media for attention
Rednote, Instagram and Facebook are good places to publish, attract attention and start conversations. They are not always good at organising your full offer. Older posts disappear down the feed, important information gets repeated, and prospects may need to message you for basic answers.
Use the website for trust and clarity
A simple website can collect your services, prices or starting prices, location, examples, FAQs and contact options in one place. It is also a URL you control and can put in every social profile.
- — Explain what you do
- — Show proof and examples
- — Answer common questions
- — Send people to WhatsApp, booking or checkout
You may not need a large website
If one page can answer the customer's questions, start with one page. The goal is not to own more pages. The goal is to remove uncertainty between discovering your business and contacting you.
When a website is probably worth adding
Consider it when prospects regularly ask the same questions, when customers search your business name before buying, when you want Google visibility, or when your social profile is doing too much work as a catalogue, company profile and support centre at the same time.
